Applebee's Grill + Bar

This location is spot on with their service and the food that they serve! This is a great family restaurant that serves tasty meals with friendly staff...we love this location and had an amazing experience on Veteran's Day. You don't go to Applebee's expecting a gourmet meal...but you can go to Applebee's and get appetizing food at reasonable prices served with a great attitude. This restaurant is always busy during peak hours and it's a great addition to our town. Thank you to the staff who put forth a consistent effort and food that makes us happy!

Oh my goodness let me tell you. My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. We had decided to go to Delaware for the weekend and I was very excited to order my favorite meal (Ribs, Mashed potatoes and broccoli) from one of my favorite restaurant. When our food was delivered a few items was missing from our meal. We called and ended up speaking to the general Manager who was working the night shift He told us to call that evening and he would make it right. We did as he ask us to he kept his word. and let me tell you he was very professional the food was delicious. Infact this is now my favorite Applebee's too bad they don't deliver to Maryland.

I had the worst experience at this location along with my family. It’s funny on the website it says LGBTQ friendly, insinuating that this is a friendly place for ALL. They should stated that black people are not treated equally. Claims like this are have to concrete with evidence I have both. My family an I decided to go eat at the Middletown Location. Immediately upon arrival my wife, my daughter and myself was met with Middletown Police department surrounding my vehicle in a very hostile manner. The officer then states: you just came out of Applebees, I stated no we just pulled up, The officer stated that the bartender along with manager call 911 because a person that was given to much alcohol at the bar in Applebees had torn up the place and was acting disorderly, then ran out of Applebees an got in my vehicle, sir we just got here, he states it was A black female inside Applebees that was being accused, Applebees said anyone black outside I guess would fit the description. Applebees then offered me a free alcoholic beverage an a 100 dollar gift card for such a bad experience. It’s a shame that in 2023 this still happens in restaurants like it’s 1966. Imagine having the police called on you because of the color of your skin.
